TCPA Disclosure & Consent Notice
Last Updated: March 18, 2026 | Effective Date: March 17, 2026
This page explains your rights under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the exact consent language you agree to when you submit a quote request, and the companies that may contact you. Please read this carefully before submitting your information.
1. What Is TCPA Consent?
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, is a federal law that regulates how businesses may contact consumers by phone, text, and fax. Under the TCPA, companies must obtain your prior express written consent before contacting you using:
- Automated telephone dialing systems (robocalls/autodialers)
- Artificial or pre-recorded voice messages
- Text messages (SMS or MMS) sent via automated means
RateLaunchpad obtains documented, individual consent before any consumer information is shared with insurance carriers or agents. Consent is recorded at the time of submission along with IP address, timestamp, and the exact consent text agreed to.
2. Your Consent Language
When you check the consent box on our quote form, you are agreeing to the following consent statement:
This consent language is recorded at the time of submission along with your IP address and a timestamp for compliance purposes.
3. Companies That May Contact You
When you submit a quote request, your information may be shared with one or more of the following types of companies, which may contact you directly by phone, text, or email:
| Category | Examples | Contact Methods |
|---|---|---|
| Licensed Insurance Carriers | National and regional carriers licensed and operating in your state | Phone (including automated), text, email |
| Regional Insurance Carriers | Carriers licensed and operating in your state | Phone, text, email |
| Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers | Licensed insurance professionals in your state who may represent multiple carriers | Phone, text, email |
| RateLaunchpad | For service communications, updates on your quote request, and follow-up offers | Email, text |
The specific carriers and agents who receive your information depend on the coverage you requested, your location, and carrier availability in your area. You may receive contact from more than one company. Each company that contacts you is an independent business subject to its own privacy and communications policies.
4. How Your Consent Is Recorded
When you check the consent box and submit your quote request, RateLaunchpad records your consent with the following attributes:
- Specific — limited to auto insurance communications
- Documented — recorded with IP address, UTC timestamp, and the exact consent text shown at time of submission
- Voluntary — not a condition of any purchase or service
- Revocable — you can withdraw consent at any time (see Section 5)
5. How to Revoke Consent
You may revoke your consent to be contacted at any time using any of the following methods:
- Text messages: Reply STOP to any text message you receive from a company
- Phone calls: Tell the caller you no longer wish to be contacted and ask them to add you to their internal do-not-call list
- RateLaunchpad direct: Email agents@ratelaunchpad.com with the subject line "Revoke TCPA Consent" and include the phone number or email address you used when submitting your quote
- National DNC Registry: Register at donotcall.gov (note: this does not retroactively revoke consent already provided to specific companies)
Under FCC rules, companies that receive a revocation request are required to honor it within no more than 10 business days. Revoking consent does not affect communications made before revocation. Revocation requests submitted to RateLaunchpad apply to future lead transmissions from us; to stop contact from a specific carrier or agent who already received your information, you must contact that company directly.
6. Consent Record Keeping
As required by law and best practices, RateLaunchpad retains records of your consent, including:
- The exact text of the consent statement you agreed to
- Date and time of consent (UTC timestamp)
- IP address at time of consent
- The URL of the page on which consent was obtained
These records are retained for a minimum of five (5) years and may be produced upon request in connection with a TCPA compliance inquiry.
7. Do Not Call Registry Notice
Registration on the National Do Not Call Registry does not prevent calls from companies with which you have an existing business relationship or to which you have provided prior express written consent. By submitting your quote request and providing consent, you grant express written consent to be contacted by the companies listed above regarding auto insurance, which supersedes Do Not Call Registry protections with respect to those specific contacts.
8. Partner Communications
When your information is shared with a licensed insurance carrier, agent, broker, or referral partner, that company may contact you under its own communications policies and TCPA compliance program. Each partner maintains its own do-not-call lists and consent records. If you wish to stop contact from a specific company after receiving contact from them, contact that company directly using the information they provide. RateLaunchpad does not control the individual communications programs of independent partner companies.
